XtremeNotebooks launches all-in-one XN1 PC
Keepin' with the funky fresh crowd, XtremeNotebooks is unleashing an all-in-one PC of its own, and while it may have some form of identity crisis coming from a laptop manufacturer, there's really no portable nature to this one. Nevertheless, the XN1 consists of a 22-inch WSXGA+ (1,680 x 1,050) LCD HDTV display which is jam packed with an Intel Core 2 Extreme processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, up to 2TB of built-in HDD space, an optional 256MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 graphics card and HD DVD drive, gigabit Ethernet and WiFi. As for ports, you'll find eSATA, four USB 2.0 sockets, ExpressCard, 4-pin FireWire, a coaxial jack for the TV tuner, and the usual assortment of AV inputs / outputs. The XN1 is available now starting at $1,599, or you can scale back with a 19-inch version that gets going at $1,489.

so what exactly is this thing supposed to be?
How about keepin it real fake Sony VAIO LS and LT series? Or do you only do that for cheap rip-offs of the i-pod?
OK, you really have to understand I love PC's, my partner has an iMac, which is really nice ... and I'm here to tell you this things absolutely ugly. You'd be hard pressed to design a more hideous all in one. Apple should buy one of these for every one of its stores- just to show people what could have happened if their design team wasn't around. Again, I'm a PC lover, but this ... this thing is just wrong.
I consider that looks like a LCDdisplay,no a notebook!ye!ugly!
Eurocom has been selling this rebranded "notebook" for months on end. (Assuming I am matching teh models right.) It has a purpose but very niche. If it at least had a higher rez screen it would be great for presentatons, conference room, or say a small lobby...

this thing will probably melt down from all the heat...
Well, it actually only has 512 MB of RAM included, and the price is without an operating system.
This pc unit can be bought by any manufacturer... I know that Sony and XXODD does sell this one.. though Sony charges an extra 600 for their logo on front.. my dad bought one from XXODD the unit itself looks pretty nice though.. and yes, it is supposed to be a lcd-tv / pc combination...
Niche markets? I dunno about that. Military people on deployment will snap these things up. As will college kids or anyone else that wants the utility of an all-in-one combo package. Most of you are forgetting the built in tv tuner/dvd player aspect. With this one piece of equipment I can replace a tv, a laptop/pc, a dvd player and a stereo system. As someone who has and will be living in tight quarters in a "hooch" again, this is very appealing to me for that reason.

The guy on the computer screen looks like a crossover between Kyle MacLachlan and Keanu Reeves :)

Sony VAIO LS and LT series say hello to their uglier cousin.
Will it blend?
That looks identical to the Novatech Fenestra and the Rock Meivo in the UK, both have been around for months... its a device made by Clevo, called the LV220C/N
