Leader in HD huh? Not in Alaska they aren't. I guess I can't be too upset, seeing how Dish treats us the same as the rest of the US: like the step-sibling the rest of the family only calls when they need something like a loan, or help moving furniture (or lumber, seafood, oil, etc)
It's not really their fault though honestly. Geographically, we are a b*tch to send a signal to, and it's not like they are going to put a new Sat in orbit to cater to a population as small as Alaska's. Would be nice to see them rent space on another company's sat if possible though, maybe send some HD our way. People are starving up here for HiDef, and as a bunch of you know, once a year we all wind up with at least a thousand bucks worth of Big Oil blood money that just burns a hole in our pockets. Walmart, Costco, Sam's Club and Best Buy all put out their best HDTV's around this time, but none of them do much good without HD content to pipe through em.
“An engineer explained to us that hundreds of ear impressions were gathered in the name of research, and while each one obviously boasted its own unique shape and size, one single characteristic remained uniform across the board: the entrance into the ear canal is not a perfect circle, it's an oval.”
