Engadget: Please take a second look at that slot load blu-ray drive, from what I know there is no such thing as a BD-ROM slot load (read only), and after further research, dell explains that the Blu-ray drive can "Read, Write, and Playback hours of High Quality, HD Video"

The BD-ROM is rewritable.
