am I the only one who thinks Sony's products are all sometimes linked to promote each other??

Think about it, Sony used PS3 to popularize DVD format
Sony popularized HDMI by adding it in every TV, COnsole, player
Sony popularized 1080P by having it in EVERY TV and projectors
and now they are using it to popularize their Blu-Ray

very smart. it doesn't always work, but they seem to have a plan for everything.
